Very interesting bit of history, which demonstrates how hard doctors have worked with JWs and the Watchtower to try and save lives. That has certainly pushed the technology forward, but that progress has come at the cost of too many lives as you know. Well done.

by OrphanCrow inacute normovolemic hemodilution.
hemodilution simply refers to the process of diluting the blood with another substance.
there are various ways that this is done before, during and after the surgical process.

Synthetic Blood trial slated for 2017
by Lee Elder inthe u.k. to start trials in a new synthetic blood substitute.
all previous versions have failed to gain regulatory approval, but perhaps this one will offer a way out for jehovah's witnesses.

There is no one with greater personal interest and potential gain from synthetic blood (in practically any form or source) than the Watchtower, and the military, imo.

A JW Father Learns about Blood
by Lee Elder inthis father contacted us a few months ago about his experience with the watchtower's blood policy, and how his daughter nearly died as a result of it.
hopefully, other jw parents can learn from this before the wt policy claims the life of their child.
the wts has very few meaningful interventions or "non blood alternatives" for anemia.

The father has volunteered to speak with other JW parents who have questions or need assistance. We'll have a contact up for him shortly.

Hopefully, other JW parents can learn from this before the WT policy claims the life of their child. The WTS has very few meaningful interventions or "non blood alternatives" for anemia. No blood equals no life, because without blood, the body is deprived of oxygen, and death follows.

It is a very complex issue. However, the argument of misrepresentation is valid imo. It would be very costly, difficult litigation - particularly in the U.S.

People hate God?
by looter init is a pain that certain individuals pride themselves on hating god, who created everything.
like it's understandable that you choose to not believe in him because of your selfishness or thinking skills but to hate him is forcing it a bit.
i'm very thankful that those such as myself have the courage to believe in the lord.

Stephen Fry asks important questions for which Theists have unsatisfying answers.

Troll? Perhaps. My guess is that you are simply a believer. That's OK. No need to berate non-believers. Something has existed forever - that we can all agree on. Whether or not this energy or force is with or without "personality" is entirely a matter of faith. Neither can be proved. It could be that which we refer to as "God" is simply a non-interventionalist. We could also be part of some very advanced computer simulation. Its also quite possible that there simply is no God - its actually a very plausible explanation. Scary but very reasonable, and more in line with direct observation and known facts than theism imo. Personally, I'm a faith practicing Deist with Buddhist leanings and a strong foundation in Christianity. What the hell does that mean? Makes about as much sense as existence. Perhaps a better question is "why is there something rather than nothing"? Do you love God? That is great. Do you love Jesus? That is awesome. Now just love others, leave the judging to them and do something to make the world a better place. Pretty sure that's what they would want. Peace.
